Did you know... Each April, St Croix restaurateurs host one of the most unique and exciting entertainment and culinary events in all of the Caribbean. The event, "A Taste of St Croix", came about as a way to showcase the diverse and wonderful eateries of this spectacular island.

For such a small place, St Croix boasts some of the region's finest culinary talent. With over 40 chefs competing for top honors in seven food categories, the event is a gastronomical blast. Held on the beach at the fabulous Divi Carina Bay Resort and Casino and attended by over 1,100 food and wine fans,  "A Taste of St Croix " is extremely popular with both visitors and locals. For over three hours, attendees roam the Divi's beautiful beach and pool area sampling as many dishes as they can handle. In addition, St Croix's three major wine and spirit distributors provide evening long wine tastings. The evening culminates with recognition and awards based on the tastings and evaluations by a team of fifteen judges assigned to the various categories. Plan on attending early as tickets sell out in a matter of days. Proceeds benefit the St Croix Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to the physical, economic and social well being of St. Croix.
