| The mission of St. Croix Source is to provide an alternative news and information source -- on line -- for and
about the St. Croix community, at no cost to readers. It is the sister publication of St. Thomas Source and will soon be joined by St. John Source. St. Croix Source, under the umbrella of the Virgin Islands Source, Inc. is owned and published by Shaun A. Pennington. Its advisory board, to date, is formed by three respected journalists; Penny Feuerzeig, executive editor of the Virgin Islands Daily News when the paper won the 1995 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service and winner of scores of other national prizes, Frank J. Jordan former journalism professor at UVI, former Dean of the School of communications at American University and former NBC news executive and Irene Silverman, the associate editor of the award-winning East Hampton (N.Y.) Star, an author, critic, and part-time St. Croix resident.
